Just want some feedback to see if this makes sense.

I simmed my gear and plugged in my stats to make my own scales.

However...taking into account hit and expertise, these values are very high until capped.

My gear does not come with all of these stats I need, so I've had to partially gem them. I was mostly interested in pawn to figure out my gemmings; I can add up my expertise and hit manually, then I need to know what to gem thereafter.

So I made another scale set, with the expertise and hit at zero, so that it assumes that I am capped.

In other words: I can use the values the uncapped scales gives me to figure out gear upgrades, and use the capped scales to figure out open gems.

Does this make sense? Or is it ridiculous?

Yeah, that makes sense. I know that various people already do something similar.
